Cody was a lifesaver! As the date approached, we realized we needed help pulling everything together, and started looking for professional options so that we and our loved ones could fully enjoy the event.... and we found Cody! Cody was responsive, professional, flexible and she was well worth every penny! She helped pull everything together in the weeks leading up to the event, and even helped me add little touches from her beautiful inventory of wedding decorations! She coordinated with all the vendors and even helped find a last minute florist who was amazing! Cody was friendly with everyone, as well as being efficient. Not only was she quick to pick up on my vision, she was able to add to it and execute it fully and beautifully. We had a wonderful day, overall experience, and are sooooo glad to have worked with Cody. We recommend her highly!

Cody planned my September 2011 wedding in Charlottesville, Virginia. I initially hired her for "Day Of" services but she wound up doing so much more! I never thought I'd be the kind of person to hire a Wedding Planner. I like to think of myself as low maintenance and pretty organized. However, everyone I talked to (past brides, friends, family) said the additional help would be worth both the money and the peace of mind. They were completely right. Cody fulfilled so many roles in the months leading up to my wedding: ringmaster, negotiator, investigator, financial advisor, cheerleader, and confidant. She balances professionalism with warmth and adapts to your personal style. Ever-organized, she provides suggestions but is never pushy and genuinely takes an interest in you and your wedding. I interviewed several other planners - some of them with flashier websites and more well-known names - before landing on Cody. I'm so glad I chose the path I did. Not only are her rates more reasonable, she saved me hundreds (if not more) in vendor fees with her cost-cutting suggestions. Plus, she was way more down-to-earth and sweet than anyone I met. In short, Cody "gets it" and you'll be lucky if she gets you, too. :)

The GREATEST thing about Cody is you get so much for your money! She has the experience of UVA running their events, large, small no detail is too small. She knows flowers, the vendors and is just on top of everything. But I must say that what truly separates her from everyone else is her kindness. She is so sweet under pressure. We fell in love with her and how she was able to put all the balls in the air and make Kings Family Vineyard so wonderful is due too her. She is the BEST in town, if she is available hire her!

Working with Amore Events by Cody was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding preparations. We had our wedding ceremony in one of the Pavilion Gardens at UVA and the reception at King Family Vineyard in Crozet. This meant that Cody had to work with two sites on one day, coordinating décor, table and chair placement, transportation and guest arrival, wedding vendor timelines and all of our special requests on top of these. When we met Cody we already had relatively specific ideas in place for our wedding. We were blown away by Cody’s ability to take those ideas and make them a reality with results that were even more beautiful than we had envisioned. We found Cody to be generous with her time, responding quickly to any concerns we had and always making the effort to ensure that we were communicating clearly. Amore Events by Cody is also one of the few wedding professionals we found to be truly concerned with our budget. Cody’s connections and experience in the area brought us to vendors that were not previously on our radar and in many cases saved us hundreds of dollars while still ensuring perfect results. On the day of our wedding, everything went off without a hitch and we were able to just sit back and enjoy our day. We continue to receive compliments from our guests on how beautiful and fun it was. Cody Grannis was an incredible coordinator for our wedding 9/3/11 on Lydia Mountain. My husband, Jason and I could not have done it without her. We started out planning the entire wedding ourselves and quickly found it overwhelming. Cody stepped in and gave us her expertise and her taste fit in perfectly with ours!! She has a gorgeous inventory! Cody gave us immediate attention whenever we had a question or concern. She met with us many times during the past 6 months to go over details and ideas. She dealt with things we never even considered...being we are first timers. It made the process bareable because it does get stressful. The days leading up to the wedding, Cody made certain to be in touch with all our vendors and confirm arrangements. She was completely organized and efficient! We knew it would be everything we wanted because of her hard work for us. Cody, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The best decision you will make in planning your perfect wedding will be to hire Cody. She orchestrated our daughter's wedding on the day that Hurricane Irene struck the area. Despite the extreme challenges and adverse conditions caused by the weather, Cody managed to stay one step ahead and pulled off an amazing event that everyone present said was just wonderful. If she can do that then there is nothing she cannot do! From beginning to end Cody was worth her weight in gold. She really listened to our vision of what we wanted, assembled a great team, and found endless and creative ways to stay within budget and on time. Throughout the process Cody was always cheerful, kind, thoughtful, and fun to work with, so that what could have been an ordeal turned out to be exactly the opposite. Her organization skills are just amazing and time and again she went the extra mile and then even more. If you chose Cody, and she choses you, you will be lucky indeed. We cannot recommend her highly enough!

I cannot say enough about Cody Grannis of Amore Events. At every step of the way she offered wonderful advice and had great ideas about everything from the big stuff, to all the little details. Cody is that terrific combination of being extremely easy going yet incredibly organized. She kept us on track with timelines, coordinated between the vendors, and did all of those things we wouldn’t have thought or known to do. Our wedding was supposed to be outside, but due to bad weather, it had to be moved inside at the last minute. Cody handled everything—all the changes and moving around and confusion—beautifully, allowing us to relax. It turned out to be a wonderful wedding, so much fun, and I attribute that to Cody’s planning, ideas, and grace under fire. Organizing a wedding is really overwhelming, and hiring Cody was the best decision we made. She is extremely talented at what she does, a total joy to work with, and went above and beyond at every point. I really can’t recommend her enough!

We had the pleasure of working with Cody at Amore Events for our big, traditional wedding in Charlottesville, VA. Cody was fabulous to work with, and we could not be happier with the services we received. We were very impressed with her professionalism in handling the event, her ability to be flexible with our ever-changing plans, and her responsiveness and attention to detail throughout the planning process. Cody started out as our day-of coordinator, but we were so impressed with her that we hired her to finalize the design of the reception hall (UVA Alumni Hall). It was exactly how we imagined our wedding day would be but better! She knew how to take random thoughts/wants and coordinate it beautifully. Even after the big day, Cody was coordinating payments, shipping gifts, and closing the loop on every last detail while we enjoyed our honeymoon.
