We contracted Tom to photograph our wedding and engagement photos and everything came out perfectly! He was very professional, the photos looked amazing, and we feel he went over and above what we expected from him. He was also great when it came to helping us decide on the timing of our ceremony and reception. He was super easy to work with and bounce ideas off of, and he did a great job making us and our bridal party feel comfortable in front of the camera. We are so pleased that we decided to book Tom!!

We had a winter-themed wedding and hired Tom to handle the photography. We interviewed several photographers and he was by far the best! We found his prices to be very competitive and his work was just beautiful. Our photos turned out amazing, and the whole experience of working with him was as good as we could have imagined. We found out about him through our wedding venue, who highly recommended him, and we're so glad they did!

Tom shot our New Year's Eve wedding in Richmond and we were SO impressed by his service and quality of the photos. He was very easy to work with throughout the whole process and seemed more like an old friend than a vendor (which made us feel more comfortable with him than any other vendor we hired). He made us feel at ease in front of the camera both during the wedding and while taking our engagement photos. I'm glad we opted to do the engagement photos, as it was a good way to get used to being in front of the camera before the wedding. When we saw the wedding photos we were floored! It felt like I was reliving the day over again; they were all just so beautiful! Hiring Tom was one of the best wedding decisions we made, and we are more than satisfied with him!

Tom Sanderson photographed our wedding, and I'm so happy we decided to hire him. The photos were so beautiful and he captured everything we wanted and more. For the quality of photography received, I feel his prices were very reasonable compared to his competitors in the area. At first we decided to save a little money and not get an album. After seeing the pictures from the wedding, there's no way I could pass on an album. They were that good! Instead of doing engagement photos, my mom suggested I select the bridal portrait session. We went to Norfolk Botanical Gardens and Tom knew all the best spots to get amazing shots there. The bridal portraits were so good that my mom has a canvas print of her favorite hanging in the family room. I can't say enough good about working with Tom - it felt more like working with a close friend as opposed to a vendor. That made us feel way more comfortable in front of the camera on the wedding day!

We booked Tom for our engagement, bridal, and wedding photos, and we couldn't be more pleased with the results! He was very professional and easy to work with, and went out of his way to work with our hectic schedules. For the quality of work he produced for us, I feel like his prices were more than fair. On the wedding day he made both of us feel relaxed in front of the camera, which isn't easy to do as we are both a bit camera shy. He also blended in seamlessly with our family and friends, which made the candid shots just amazing! We highly recommend him!

Tom was hands down the best vendor we had at our wedding. He was professional, unobtrusive and was a very calming presence during a very hectic day. Tom's father passed away right before I was supposed to do my bridal portraits and he still came and did my bridal portraits the day after his dad's funeral because he didn't want to cancel (I didn't know this at the time). Our engagement pictures, my bridal portraits and our wedding pictures are all beautiful. I highly recommend using Tom.

After interviewing several photographers and looking at what felt like a million photography websites, we simply couldn't find anyone who we felt compared to Tom! And we're so thankful we went with our gut felling and decided to hire him. He was easy and fun to work with throughout the whole process, and even helped suggest a few additional local vendors for us. The photos were absolutely stunning, and I still get emotional when I view them almost a year later. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone getting married!

The photos Tom captured at our wedding are just beautiful! We couldn't have made a better choice for our photographer. He captured the day just as we envisioned it. Tom was very easy to work with and professional, and helped out with things that weren't even his responsibility. I feel he is very reasonably priced for the quality he delivers. We also had several guests at the wedding comment on how professional and unobtrusive he was. It was a great experience and we're so glad we decided to hire Tom.

We came across Tom's website when searching for photographers for our wedding and were impressed by his work. On meeting Tom we both immediately felt at ease with him and thought he would be able to mingle unobtrusively with our guests and take some great candid shots - we were right! He was also accommodating in getting special family shots too. I decided to have engagement photos instead of bridals, and I'm glad i did. It really gave a chance to get used to being photographed before the wedding, and I really think it made a big difference on the wedding day itself. I highly recommend Tom and hope to have him photograph us again when we start a family in a few years!

Tom was fantastic throughout the whole experience, and I would definitely recommend him to any couple! We opted for the engagement photos, which came out great. He really captured 'us', and made us feel at ease. That wasn't easy to do considering my husband doesn't like being the focus of attention. On the wedding day, he acted not only as our photographer but as an experienced wedding professional. He helped out when a few things went wrong with our time line and our DJ was clueless as to a solution (I'll review the DJ next). The wedding photos turned out AMAZING, and I couldn't have asked for a better photographer. He was highly recommended by our planner, and he came through with flying colors!

We hired Tom to photograph our wedding and engagement session, and everything turned out great! He was easy to work with, and helped everyone relax for the photos. He was very unobtrusive during the day, yet captured such great memories for us! The photos were beautiful and very creative, and the album design was great as well. Photography was a very important part of the wedding for us, so we wanted to make sure we hired someone great, and we definitely made the right decision to hire Tom.

We were referred to Tom by a friend of the family, and after meeting with him we knew he would be able to capture exactly what we had in mind at our wedding. The engagement shoot at Norfolk Botanical Gardens turned out awesome, and our package included a canvas print that we displayed at the reception. On the wedding day, Tom took the most beautiful photos and captured the little thing we didn't even realize were happening around us. My husband has a large print of our first dance in his office, and my parents have a shot of our first kiss over their fireplace. I can't emphasize enough how pleased we are with Tom's work, and his professionalism during the entire process. He was also able to recommend several vendors that we decided to use, and they turned out great as well.

Working with Tom Sanderson Photography was one of the best decisions we made regarding our wedding vendors. When we saw the photos I instantly felt like I was back in the moment. The day goes by so quickly, it's like a blur. So it was very important to us to hire someone that would really capture the little moments of the day, along with the family photos, etc. Tom was very accommodating at the wedding, fulfilling the zillion photo requests that my mom had. In addition he captured the feel and theme of the event just the way I wanted to remember it. He really got my vision. Yes, I would definitely recommend having him photograph your wedding!!

I would advise against using Tom. We contracted with him to photograph our wedding. Although the pictures were great, he arrived late for the wedding. We also contracted with him to do an engagement session, half of which were the bride and groom, and the other half of which were bridal portraits. It's been over a year, and despite numerous attempts to contact him, he has stopped responding to our calls and e-mails regarding the fact that we have never received these bridal portraits. Overall, he was very flexible, agreeing to changes and doing different things, whatever we asked. However, we didn't take bridal portraits the day of the wedding because we had done them as part of the engagement session; therefore, I don't have any bridal portraits. Although the product was very good, Tom has been very bad about responsiveness. Again, I would not recommend him for your wedding if you want to be certain that a) it all gets covered and b) that you get all the pictures you paid him for.
